Here's pics from the Pearson 424 survey for Connie & Preston. They came up from Oregon and surveyor Garret drove up from Centralia. As usual it was a busy survey day. One of the Pearson's most successful models, the 424 is highly thought of among serious blue water cruisers. A spacious boat with a beam of 13', it has 7,600 lbs of ballast and a displacement of 22,000lbs, so it's a comfortable and stable smooth-sailing design. This time we hauled out in the Anacortes Marina yard, waited for zincs, and headed out for a short shakedown sail. While Preston and I sorted out the staysail, halyards, and moved the genoa blocks, Connie was getting used to the helm. She found the "right" angle of heal and we had a fine sail in the afternoon wind. As always I find a few shots of other boats and odd details. By four o'clock we were back in the slip next to my Tartan 37 sv Arrow listing. Good day! Thanks all!
