I first met Larry when he was at Shilshole O-dock ages ago. There were always interesting details, I just had to ask about on his Yamaha 33. Tip A Rarry is the most thoughtfully equipped boat I've ever listed, from spreader line-hooks to the titanium radar-mast. Not a dock queen, the Yamaha 33 was designed for the ocean, and Larry has sailed Tip A Rarry around Vancouver Island six times! These are pics from the survey day for Leo, back from a sail to the South Pacific. Leo's engineering details for a custom boat in Anacortes, racing and sailing locally. What a good choice, the Yamaha even had standing headroom, and so many discrete details to sort out. Surveyor Garrett came up from Centralia - what a hard working experienced sailor and surveyor. As usual there is hiccup, something happened in the scheduled South yard, the travel-lift is busy and we scramble to get to hauled out in the Anacortes Marina, North yard. After motoring out and running the diesel up to temperature, we sailed. I even got to drive for a bit - very rare. While gray, what a good survey day - I hope you all enjoy the pics. Thanks!
