Over the years we've done a number of trips to Blakely Rock for low tide exploring. This year we had Michelle, Sam and Michael aboard, and we found starfish again-yea! For the last couple years their population had be decimated, so it was good to see them coming back a bit. It's always good to have a look at the rock at low tide, as sailors, mostly racers, have hit this rock sailing too close. We've certainly had our mis-adventures too, with an anchor dragging and the boat leaving, and crab pots swept into deep water-Argh! At least he had a good sail home, with cruise ships departing and other sailboats to photograph. Thanks all! (Click on a image below for a larger image "slide show" - arrow keys work well.)
