Wauquiez RDV 2014

Kathleen and I sailed to SF, with John and Lisa on the Pretorien s/v Andiamo in October 2003. I've photographed many of the PNW Wauquiez Rendezvous since. It's always good to see the boats, crews, and all the people that make this such a good rendezvous. I really wanted to make it to Port Townsend, and Kam got me a sweet ride on Brian Scally's Centurion 47, s/v Earendale. What a great afternoon! We loved sailing so much, we sailed till dark, cold, and looking for the Port Hudson entrance.

I've often spent most of the race up at Sam's spreaders, so I went up Brian's mast for another view. The skippers meeting brought out the usual crowd, and a few ringers. I couldn't sail the race this year. A few pics of the upwind rounding, chutes up, and a couple frames from the ferry, and I was off to Friday Harbor and the Valis delivery to SF. . .

What a treat, to be out on the water, see all the Wauquiez boats and folks, at the PNW Wauquiez Rendezvous. Thank you all. . .  Enjoy!
