Puget Sound Sailing Champainship

October 15th, 2005

PSSC is a two-day series of buoy races, usually two or three races a day.
This year I sailed on Stu Farrel's Aphrodite 101, named Tryst, on Saturday.
The Aphrodite 101 is a Danish design by Jan Kjaerulff from 1978
and Tryst is a boat I've wanted to sail on for years!

Saturday turned out to be another light air day, with the races delayed,
while we waited for the Southerly to fill in. What a good time!
Stu is as shrewd, subtle and steady a sailor as Sean suggested!
Just look at where we were at the starts, sailing down the middle of the course,
and rounding the leeward mark, with a trail of spinnakers behind us.

While we consistently finished in the first three, we were corrected over.
Oh well, it was a pleasure to sail with Stu, and I got to photograph
some of the other boats I've sailed on, like Norn and Allegro con Brio.
